Springtime!

Happy April! I hope you've all been enjoying the beautiful Spring weather. Thank you for taking some time to read my ministry update! I hope it's an encouragement to you. God is working!

 Encouraging Story!

A few weeks ago, I was driving home from small group on a Monday night when I got a call from a senior at Wylie High School. I've known this guy since he was really young, but he's never been very involved in CTF or committed to his faith. He's generally been one of those guys who comes to camp in the summer, occasionally shows up for an event or Wednesday night, but during the school year kind of disappears. Well he called me that night, and I asked him how I could help him. He responded "I'm just tired of the way that I've been living, and I was wondering if you would study the Bible with my friend and me." Praise God! Since then, we've been meeting up every week to study the Bible. I can already see how God is working in these guys' hearts, and I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of it.

Spring Break

Over Spring break, myself and a few other adults from our community got to take some of our teen guys up to Colorado to ski. We did this trip last year, and it was so much fun that we just had to do it again. There's something really special about getting to be up in the mountains with those guys. We had a few really cool conversations about how God reveals himself to us in creation, and how we ought to respond to the blessings He gives us with hearts of thankfulness. Overall it was an awesome week, and I loved getting to experience it with those teens.

Trent, Tyler, Kole, and I up on the slopes!

All of us (except Matt) up at Loveland Ski Area.

New Bible Studies

I wanted to update you all on a few of the new Bible studies that I've started over the last couple months. As many of you know, the core of our ministry is one on one discipleship. We have an axiom in our community: one on one is how it's done. Ministry is personal. It's all about God using people to reach and impact other people. Wednesday nights or Sunday mornings are a vital part of our walks with God, but it's just not the same thing as someone sitting across from you and asking you the tough questions, reading Scripture, and talking about how to follow Jesus better. Without a doubt my favorite part of ministry is one on one discipleship. Over the last couple months I've been able to start meeting and starting up new Bible studies with four students! Two of them are seniors at Wylie High, one is a junior at Wylie Prep, and the other one is a sophomore at Wylie East. Please be praying that God would use our time together to produce fruit in these young men's lives!

Springjita

It's Springjita season! Springjita is our annual fundraiser for CTF. This year we will have an online, silent auction on Friday, April 22nd, and a live auction and dinner on Saturday, April 23rd at the Northeast Church in Garland. This event is huge for our ministry. The funds donated at Springjita are a major reason that we're able to do the things that we do as a ministry. I'd love for y'all to pray and consider donating or bidding on some of our awesome items. If you'd like to attend the dinner and live auction, that would be great too! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Prayer Requests

-Pray for all the young men that I get to minister to and study the Bible with: Aiden, Cole, Kole, Hudson, Logan, Tucker, Connor C, Connor W, Jacob G, Jacob H, Kyle, Blake, and Canyon. Pray that God would bear fruit in their lives, and that through our time in the Word these young men would fall in love with Jesus.

-Pray that our students would continue to grow in their love for Jesus, and their devotion to Him. Pray that God would protect them from the temptations and dangers of the world.

-Our Wednesday Nights. Continue to pray that our worship, talks, and discussions would encourage and build up our ministry. Pray for our Wednesday Night Live events. Ask God to use these events to bring us students who need to know Jesus.

-Pray for our adult youth leader volunteers. They are a crucial part of this ministry, and they have such a huge impact on our teens. Pray that God would bless them, strengthen them, and encourage them to continue serving these teens. Pray that our small group would be a time of spiritual growth and community building for our team.

-Continue to pray for the Bible studies that I get to lead with the Wylie East football and baseball teams! These are still going strong! Pray that God would use those groups to introduce people to Jesus, and to grow and mature the ones who already know Him.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." -Romans 15:13

Thank you for your prayers and your support! I love you all!
